Publication devoted to Włodzimierz Pawlak's "Diaries" – a thirty-year-long painterly record of everyday life. The presentation of the complete "Diaries", a special part of Pawlak’s work, takes place during a crisis of the values that form this cycle: extreme introversion, Benedictine-like dedication, and persistence in the eternal medium. Despite countless attempts to repeat similar actions, this painting is far from mechanical. It is instinctive, imprecise, and free, reflecting the unpredictability of the process. Though Pawlak has not painted human figures for years, his work remains deeply human. His painterly humanism, reduced to simple gestures, engages both intellectual and emotional centers, offering a profound experience.
