Design for Aneta Grzeszykowska’s photo book, which is the artist’s intimate diary. The seemingly cold and monochromatic book is entitled “Negative Book”, and contains a series of 84 black and white photographs taken by her through a unique process that is both visual and performative in its form. The book focuses on the performative act of exposing the artist’s body. The “negative” quality of these photos and the “positive” process of coloring the artist’s body make these portraits almost theatrical and deny visual or emotional identification.
Projekt książki fotograficznej, intymnego pamiętnika artystki Anety Grzeszykowskiej. Pozornie zimna i monochromatyczna książka „Negative Book” zbiera cykl 84 czarno-białych zdjęć wykonanych przez artystkę według bardzo szczególnej procedury, która jest zarówno wizualna, jak i performatywna. Książka koncentruje się na performatywnym akcie eksponowania ciała artysty. „Negatywna” jakość zdjęć i „pozytywna” procedura zastosowana do koloryzacji ciała sprawiają, że portrety te są niemal teatralne i negują wizualną lub emocjonalną identyfikację.
