A poster promoting Jan Bajtlik’s exhibition, which featured his latest paintings. The series of canvases and works on paper follow his fascination with plants and their shapes, and inspire to seek the moment when a figurative and abstract picture overlap. The presented works are distinguished by black and white tones and thick strokes of paint that create wavy lines and rhythmic patterns. In the title “Jardin Particulier”, the author refers to the intimate, sometimes-secluded Renaissance garden hidden inside or connected to a palace (also referred to as “Giardino Segreto”).
