The book is a compilation os the achievements of the Film Form Workshop, which was an avant-garde group operating at the Łódź Film School in 1970–1977. The artists in the group opposed classic narrative and traditional film media, operating somewhere between cinematography and modern art. Today, many consider the group to be the most important formation in structural cinema in Central and Eastern Europe.
Książka stanowi przedstawienie osiągnięć Warsztatu Formy Filmowej, awangardowej grupy działającej w Szkole Filmowej w Łodzi w latach 1970–1977. Artyści należący do grupy odrzucili klasyczną narrację i tradycyjne media filmowe, działając pomiędzy kinematografią a sztuką współczesną. Obecnie grupa ta jest uważana za najważniejszą formację kina strukturalnego w Europie Środkowej i Wschodniej.
