A publication issued on the occasion of the “Wspólnota wyobrażeń o gęstości. Bartosz Kokosiński” [“Community of ideas about density, Bartosz Kokosiński”] exhibition. It’s safe to say, that the concept of density characterizes both the artist’s work and the creative process itself. The eponymous density can also be interpreted as a condensation of various kinds of excess, which feed our modern civilization, such as the saturation of the urban tissue, media information overload, the ubiquity of digital technology slipping out of control, even from its creators’ hands, overpopulation, overproduction and a hyper-supply of goods and experiences.
Publikacja wydana z okazji wystawy „Wspólnota wyobrażeń o gęstości. Bartosz Kokosiński”. Można powiedzieć, że kategoria gęstości charakteryzuje zarówno prace tego artysty, jak i sam proces twórczy. Tytułową gęstość można odczytywać także jako kondensację różnego rodzaju nadmiarów, którymi karmi nas współczesna cywilizacja: nasycenie tkanki miejskiej, natłok medialnej informacji, wszechobecność cyfrowej technologii wymykającej się spod kontroli nawet jej twórcom, przeludnienie, nadprodukcja i hiperpodaż dóbr, wrażeń, doświadczeń.
