Visual identity of the Polish Pavilion exhibition at London Design Biennale, “Cadavre Exquis: An Anatomy of Utopia,” a unique and imaginative concept conceived of and curated by Maria Jeglińska and Klara Czerniewska. Created especially for the biennale, the installation questions how the 21st century creates space for new utopias, reflecting on the numerous crises and failures of modernist social, political and urban projects from the previous century. Borrowing from the form of the surrealist word association game, ‘the exquisite corpse,’ it invites the viewer to act as the co-creator of one of the narratives. By assuming the role of the wanderer, visitors face a choice between their own path towards an idyllic utopia, or a disturbing dystopia.
Projekt identyfikacji polskiej wystawy designu „Anatomy of Utopia” podczas London Design Biennale. Wystawa „Wyborny trup: anatomia utopii” to instalacja site-specific stworzona przez kuratorki Marię Jeglińską i Klarę Czerniewską na wzór przestrzennej gry, w której widz staje się współtwórcą proponowanej narracji. Przeistaczając się w wędrowców, odwiedzający staną przed wyborem własnej drogi ku idyllicznej utopii lub niepokojącej dystopii. To od nich będzie zależało, czy ich wizja osiągnie wydźwięk pozytywny, czy negatywny. Odwiedzający Biennale będą poszukiwać odpowiedzi na pytanie, jak design i innowacja mogą uczynić świat lepszym.
