The first edition of KIOOSK Independent Publishing Fair took place in Krakow in November 2012 . This was the first event of its kind in Poland. Still, the event was a great success! Organizers received more than 70 authors from 15 countries. This year KIOOSK has an unofficial slogan „Pewex /LUXUSPOL”.They want to present publications as a exotic luxury available only in this special place and time. Generally fair formula does not change, they want to invite the maximum number of artists and designers to show everything in the world of publishing is independent, and so any zines, short-run magazines, original book with illustrations, experimental forms. In a word – everything that does not have a place in the regular bookstore.
KIOOSK would like to invite a larger number of exhibitors, not only Polish, but various independent from other countries and organise workshops and lectures accompanying the event at DOM KULTURY KOLEJARZA,ul. Filipa 3 / Kraków, 16-17 November.
W listopadzie 2012 w Krakowie odbyła się pierwsza edycja Targów Publikacji Niezależnych KIOOSK. Była To pierwsza impreza tego typu w Polsce. Mimo to, event okazał się wielkim sukcesem! Zgłosiło się ponad 70 autorów z 15 krajów.
Tegoroczny KIOOSK ma odbyć się pod nieoficjalnym hasłem „pewex/LUXUSPOL”. Chcemy przedstawić publikacje jako dobra egzotyczne, luksusowe dostępne tylko w tym wyjątkowym miejscu i czasie. Zasadniczo formuła targów się nie zmieni: organizatorzy chcą zaprosić maksymalną ilość artystów i projektantów, pokazać wszystko to, co w świecie wydawniczym znajduje się na marginesie, a więc wszelkie ziny, niskonakładowe magazyny, autorskie książki z ilustracjami, eksperymentalne formy projektowane „do szuflady”. Słowem – wszystko to, czego w księgarni się nie spotka.
Dodatkowo tegoroczny KIOOSK zostanie poszerzony o warsztaty i wykłady w trakcie konferencji towarzyszącej wydarzeniu w DOM KULTURY KOLEJARZA,ul. Filipa 3 w Krakówie 16-17 listopada.
