The contest “Project of the Year - Polish Graphic Competition” is an initiative that shows what role graphic design has today in shaping our environment. Poland’s first graphic design contest, which presents the most interesting projects of Polish designers, and also subjected to reflection of functions of design and social responsibility of artists.
The concept of competition assumes an annual nominations in six categories: Form, Function, Ethics, Debut, Authority and Event. A specially appointed jury emerged the best, most interesting and groundbreaking projects. A nationwide group of researchers throughout the year was collecting information about the most interesting realizations from all areas of graphic design from around the country.
The work of the finalists will be posted on the websites Project of the Year - PolishGraphic Competition 2010/2011. Announcement of the winners list will be accompanied by a press conference and presentation of the award-winning work on themobile exhibition.
Konkurs “Projekt Roku – Polski Konkurs Graficzny” to inicjatywa, która pokazuje jak ważne jest projektowanie graficzne i jaką rolę ma ono dzisiaj w kształtowaniu naszego otoczenia. To pierwszy w Polsce konkurs projektowania graficznego, który prezentuje najciekawsze realizacje polskich projektantów, a zarazem poddaje refleksji funkcje dizajnu oraz odpowiedzialność społeczną twórców.
Koncepcja Konkursu zakłada coroczne nominacje w sześciu kategoriach: Forma, Funkcja, Etyka, Debiut, Autorytet oraz Wydarzenie. Specjalnie powołane Jury wyłania najlepsze, najciekawsze i najbardziej przełomowe realizacje. Współpracuje z nimi rozbudowana, ogólnopolska grupa researcherów, którzy przez cały rok zbierają informacje o najciekawszych realizacjach ze wszystkich dziedzin projektowania graficznego z całego kraju.
Prace finalistów zostaną umieszczone na stronach internetowych “Projekt Roku – Polski Konkurs Graficzny 2010/2011″. Ogłoszeniu listy laureatów towarzyszyć będzie konferencja prasowa i prezentacja nagrodzonych prac na mobilnej wystawie.
